Web Design for Business Websites and Landing Pages

I design and build business websites and landing pages that explain what you do, show why you can be trusted and make the next step obvious on a phone. Most of my design work is for contractors and local service businesses, built in Webflow or WordPress and laid out mobile-first from the first sketch.

What is included

  • Site structure and page plan: A sitemap built around your services, locations and buyer questions before any visual design starts.
  • Mobile-first page layouts: Pages designed for a phone first, with tap-to-call buttons, short forms and readable sections, then expanded for desktop.
  • Figma UI design: Page designs in Figma when you want to approve the look before the build, as in my Figma ecommerce designs for Shroom Mojo and EternaLotus.
  • Campaign landing pages: Single-purpose pages for ads and promotions, like the LGK Constructions campaign page and the Hamilton Interiors lead page.
  • Webflow and WordPress builds: Designs built in Webflow with its CMS, or in WordPress with Breakdance, Elementor or a custom theme.
  • Redesigns of existing sites: Dated or heavy sites rebuilt on a cleaner structure while the content and search value you already have is kept.
  • Trust and proof sections: Reviews, before and after galleries, project portfolios, financing and service areas placed where buyers look for them.
  • Quote and booking paths: Free estimate forms, online booking and calculators that give visitors a clear next step on every page.

What is included when I design your website?

Web design with me means the site is planned, designed and built by the same person, so nothing gets lost between a mockup and the live pages. You get a structure based on how your buyers decide, a visual design that fits your brand, and a working site with forms, tracking and SEO already in place.

A typical project includes:

  • A sitemap covering services, locations, proof and contact pages
  • Wireframes or Figma designs for the key pages when you want to approve visuals first
  • Mobile-first layouts with tap-to-call buttons and short forms
  • Trust elements such as reviews, project galleries, certifications and financing details
  • The build in Webflow, WordPress or HubSpot, depending on what fits
  • Technical SEO, schema markup and an XML sitemap
  • Analytics, tag management and call tracking connected before launch

I have 187 case studies tagged as website design, mostly for businesses that rely on calls, bookings and quote requests rather than online checkout. That focus shapes every layout decision, from the first screen down to the footer.

Which businesses is this web design service built for?

This service is for businesses whose website has to bring in calls, bookings or quote requests: contractors, trades, workshops, clinics, firms and venues. I have built 38 trade and contractor sites, plus many more for local service businesses in Australia and the US.

Typical clients include:

It also suits businesses with an existing site that looks dated, loads slowly or no longer matches the services they offer. If that sounds like yours, a free website audit is a sensible first step, because it shows what to keep before anything is redesigned.

What makes a business website turn visitors into calls and quote requests?

A site that converts answers three questions fast (what you do, where you do it and why a visitor should trust you), then offers one clear action on every screen. Design supports that structure; it does not replace it.

The patterns I build into service websites:

  • A headline that names the service and area, with a call button and a quote button above the fold
  • Proof close to the action, such as reviews, before and after photos, years in business and licenses
  • A short quote form on every page, as on Kibuk Tile And Construction and Revana Homes
  • Service pages that answer pricing, process and timeline questions in plain language
  • Calculators where buyers want a number first, like the instant cash offer calculator on Property Sales Group
  • Urgent paths for urgent services, like the 24/7 emergency contact on Golden Coast Construction & Restoration

None of this guarantees a result, but each element is built to support more calls and quote requests, and each one can be tracked. After launch I review those numbers and rework the sections that are underperforming.

Why should a website be designed mobile-first?

People who need a plumber, a roofer or a mechanic often search on a phone in the middle of the problem, so the phone layout has to work first. I design the small screen before the desktop one, then expand it, which keeps pages focused on the actions that matter.

Designing mobile-first changes concrete decisions:

  • Call and quote buttons stay within thumb reach, often in a sticky bar
  • Forms ask only for what is needed to call someone back
  • Images are sized for phones, so pages load quickly on mobile data
  • Menus are grouped by service and location instead of long dropdowns
  • Text is set at a size that reads without zooming

Roof Repair Guys shows the thinking: a roofing company whose phone and email need to be a tap away in the middle of a downpour. For an emergency plumber like 24 Hour Melbourne Plumbers, the booking button has to work at 2am just as it does at noon.

Responsive design appears in 189 of my case studies. It is the baseline for every site I build, and I test layouts on real phone sizes before launch.

Webflow, WordPress or HubSpot: which platform should your site use?

Choose the platform based on who will edit the site, which tools it must connect to and how much custom functionality it needs. I design and build on all three, so the recommendation follows your situation.

Webflow

Webflow suits design-led sites where marketing teams want visual control and a clean CMS. I built Oleg & Sons Remodeling, Property Sales Group and Cover Pro Painting in Webflow, using its CMS for city pages, with tools such as Finsweet Attributes, Swiper.js and the Google Maps Places API where needed.

WordPress

WordPress suits sites that need plugins, complex forms, WooCommerce or long-term flexibility. It is my largest platform by far, with 171 case studies built in Breakdance, Elementor, Divi or custom themes.

HubSpot

HubSpot suits businesses that already run sales and marketing in HubSpot. For Symplify Roofing I built a custom HubSpot website with custom modules for smoother content control.

If you are unsure, I compare the options against your budget and team during a short call. A good-looking site on the wrong platform becomes expensive to change, so this decision deserves attention before design starts.

When do you need a landing page instead of a full website?

Use a landing page when you are running one campaign with one offer and one action, and a full website when buyers need to compare services, locations and proof. Many businesses need both: the main site for search and referrals, and focused pages for paid ads or promotions.

A good landing page has:

  • One headline that matches the ad or email that brought the visitor
  • A single call to action, repeated, with no distracting navigation
  • Proof that relates to the specific offer
  • A form that works every time, connected to the right inbox or CRM

Examples from my work include the LGK Constructions campaign page, a WordPress and Breakdance build made purely to generate enquiries, and the Hamilton Interiors page, which sells office partitioning benefits with a Gravity Forms lead form. For Civilization VII I built a game launch landing page focused on visual impact, responsive performance and pre-launch engagement.

My portfolio has 11 landing page projects. Several contractor sites also blend landing-style pages into a full site, such as the free estimate path on Modern Construction Group and the detailed quote form on Sparrow Design & Plans.

How does a website redesign work?

A redesign starts by finding out what the current site does well, so the rebuild keeps those pages, URLs and search signals while fixing what holds it back. Throwing everything away is rarely the right move.

My redesign process:

  • Audit the existing site for speed, mobile issues, calls to action, local SEO, trust signals and tracking
  • Pull search data to see which pages bring traffic and which bring nothing
  • Plan the new sitemap, merging thin pages and adding missing service or location pages
  • Design and build on a staging site while the old site stays live
  • Redirect every changed URL and test forms, calls and tracking before the switch

General Auto Electrics Melbourne is a good example: its old custom-coded setup became a lighter WordPress site in Breakdance, aimed at speed and easier content management. For Best Floor Coverings, I built the site in WordPress and Elementor from an Adobe XD design, turning an approved visual into working product, installation and service-area pages.

If you are not sure whether you need a redesign or a few fixes, the free website audit gives you a short video walkthrough of the first changes I would make.

What are the steps in a web design project, and what sets the timeline?

Projects run in four stages, and the timeline depends on page count, custom features and how quickly content and feedback come in. A dated milestone plan is agreed before design begins, so you always know what is due next.

What each stage involves:

  • Plan: your goals, services, areas and competitors, turned into a sitemap and scope
  • Design: key pages in wireframes or Figma, revised with your feedback
  • Develop: the approved design built in Webflow, WordPress or HubSpot, with forms and tracking connected
  • Optimize: speed, SEO and mobile checks, then launch and early adjustments

The most common source of delay is content, such as photos, service details and reviews, so I ask for it early and structure pages around what you already have. Location-heavy sites take longer than a five-page brochure site, because each city page needs useful local detail rather than copied text. Oleg & Sons Remodeling, with local pages for 22 cities, and Property Sales Group, with 73 city pages, are the kind of builds where that planning matters.

How is a website design project priced?

The price depends on scope, which is why I quote after a free audit or a short call rather than from a fixed menu. To give me a starting point, the contact form asks you to choose a budget, from under $499 up to $2,000-$2,999 or "Let's Discuss", and once scope is agreed you get a fixed quote, timeline and list of deliverables.

What changes the quote:

  • The number of unique page designs and how many pages share a template
  • Custom Figma design versus working from an existing brand guide
  • Location pages and the local detail each one needs
  • Interactive features such as calculators, configurators, before and after sliders or material explorers
  • Integrations with booking, CRM, call tracking or review tools
  • Platform costs, such as Webflow site plans or premium WordPress plugins
  • Moving content and redirects over from an existing site

A single landing page sits at the smaller end of the scale, while a contractor site with dozens of service and city pages sits at the larger end. Ongoing maintenance is quoted separately as a monthly plan.

How do you know the new website is working?

You know a website is working when the actions it was designed for (calls, form submissions and bookings) are tracked and moving the right way against a baseline. I set that tracking up before launch so there is something real to compare.

The numbers worth watching:

  • Calls from the site, tracked with CallRail or click-to-call events
  • Quote and contact form submissions, broken down by page
  • Online bookings through tools such as Calendly
  • Use of calculators, galleries and other interactive sections
  • Page speed scores from Core Web Vitals, checked on mobile and desktop
  • Search Console clicks and impressions for service and city pages

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager handle most of the event tracking, and Google Site Kit can surface the key numbers inside WordPress. Lead volume is never something I promise, since it depends on your market, reviews and advertising as much as on the design. What the setup does is show which pages and sections earn their place, so changes after launch rest on evidence instead of opinion.

Will the new site show up on Google and in AI answers?

A new site is built to be found. Search basics are handled during the build rather than added later: page titles and meta descriptions, a sensible heading order, structured data, an XML sitemap, quick load times and layouts that suit phones. Rankings take time and depend on competition, but the foundations are in place from launch day.

For local businesses, visibility starts with structure. Dedicated service pages and real city pages give Google and AI assistants something specific to match, which is why Oleg & Sons Remodeling, Property Sales Group and Cover Pro Painting were all built around city service pages.

AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews lean on sites that are easy to find, trust and cite. The design choices that help:

  • Answer-first sections that state the service, area and key facts plainly
  • FAQ content written in the words buyers actually use
  • The same business name, address, phone and hours everywhere they appear
  • Structured data that describes your business, services and common questions
  • Real local detail, prices where you publish them and genuine reviews

Staying visible in Google AI Mode comes back to solid SEO: indexed pages, first-hand content and an accurate Google Business Profile. If you want help beyond launch, local SEO and AI search work can continue as a monthly service.

Who owns the finished website, and can we work across time zones?

You own the finished website, the domain and the content. The site is published to your own Webflow, WordPress hosting or HubSpot account, and the design files are yours to keep, so you can bring in someone else later without starting from zero.

Working remotely is routine for me. My base is Botolan, Zambales, in the Philippines, and on UTC+8 my working hours cover the full Australian business day while clients in the US, UK and Europe get progress overnight, backed by written updates. Recent design work includes contractors in Bellevue, Edgewood and Sacramento, alongside long-running clients in Melbourne and Sydney.

What working together looks like:

  • A written brief and milestone plan before design starts
  • Designs and staging links shared for review at each milestone
  • Feedback collected in one place, with a written reply to every point
  • Calls booked in a shared window when a decision needs discussion

Because everything important is in writing, decisions are easy to find later and nothing depends on anyone's memory of a call.

How the work runs

  1. Discover: I learn your services, areas, customers and competitors, and note what your current site already does well.
  2. Wireframe and design: I plan the page structure and design the key screens, in Figma when you want to approve visuals first.
  3. Build: I build the approved design in Webflow or WordPress, mobile-first, with forms and tracking connected.
  4. Launch and refine: I launch, test every call button and form, and adjust sections based on how visitors actually use them.

Web Design questions

Can I see the design before you build the site?

Yes. When you want to approve visuals first, I design key pages in Figma, as I did for ecommerce concepts such as Shroom Mojo, The Enchanted Shadows and EternaLotus. I can also build from a design you already have, as with the Adobe XD design behind Best Floor Coverings.

Do you redesign existing websites?

Yes. A redesign starts with an audit of what already works, then keeps strong pages and URLs while rebuilding the rest. General Auto Electrics Melbourne is one example, a hand-coded site I rebuilt in Breakdance with speed and simpler editing as the goals.

Do you design and build in Webflow?

Yes. Oleg & Sons Remodeling, Property Sales Group and Cover Pro Painting are Webflow sites I built in 2026, using the Webflow CMS for city pages and features like before and after sliders and an instant cash offer calculator.

Will my website work well on phones?

Yes. Every layout is designed mobile-first, with tap-to-call buttons, short forms and readable text, then expanded for larger screens. Responsive design is part of 189 of my case studies.

Can you design a landing page for my ad campaign?

Yes. I build single-purpose landing pages with one offer and one action, like the LGK Constructions campaign page and the Hamilton Interiors lead page. I connect tracking to each one, so you can see which campaign each inquiry came from.

What will a new business website cost me?

Design work is quoted after a free audit or a short call, since page count and features drive the price. If you are not sure what to budget, the contact form offers ranges starting under $499 and reaching $2,000-$2,999, plus "Let's Discuss" for larger sites.

What should I prepare before we begin?

A short brief through the contact form with your goals, budget range and deadline is enough to begin. Logos, photos, reviews and a list of your services and service areas help me plan the structure sooner.
