The Challenge
Vabe Beauty is a beauty salon at 340 Malvern Road in Prahran, helping clients look and feel their best for more than 30 years with facials, massage, brows, lashes, waxing, IPL, and hands and feet treatments. The Vabe Beauty WordPress website had to present a very long treatment menu in a way that feels as pampering as the treatments themselves.
Beauty clients browse treatment menus the way they browse restaurant menus, scanning categories and comparing options before they decide. Gift voucher buyers are different again. They shop in a hurry, usually days before a birthday, and need a fast, obvious path to enquire.
The site had to serve both while holding a soft, premium feel on every screen.
The Solution
I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance using menu-led service presentation. The Vabe Menu organises every treatment into clear categories: Hands and Feet, Eyes, Body, Hair Removal, Waxing for men and women, IPL and Facials. Within Facials, treatments are grouped by concern, acne, anti-ageing, hydration, sensitive skin and pigmentation, and by professional range, including Skeyndor and Synergie facials and the Synergie Skin Peel Series.
Gift vouchers get their own pathway right on the homepage, with a short invitation to treat a friend or family member and a clear prompt to enquire. Opening hours, including the late Tuesday and Thursday sessions, the Malvern Road address and the phone number sit in the top bar of every page.
The visual tone is soft and polished, with a gallery and an Our Brands section supporting the premium positioning. I keep it maintained and secure, always looking freshly done.
A Prahran beauty salon with more than 30 years of experience
The Vabe Beauty WordPress website introduces a salon that blends modern techniques with an old-school touch. The Who We Are section explains that the experienced team delivers personalised beauty and skin treatments using advanced technology and premium professional products, and that massage is incorporated into every treatment to take it to the next level.
That detail is a genuine point of difference, so it features prominently. The copy describes a calm, welcoming space where every treatment is tailored to the client, from advanced facials and IPL to waxing, manicures, pedicures and massage. For clients in Prahran and the surrounding inner south-east, the message is clear: this is a place to be looked after properly, by people who have done it for decades.
Presenting a long treatment menu without overwhelm
Vabe offers dozens of treatments, and a single long list would overwhelm anyone. I structured the Vabe Menu so visitors can scan at two levels. First, broad categories let them jump to what they want:
- Hands and Feet: manicures, pedicures, paraffin treatments and Shellac
- Eyes: tints, lash lifts, brow sculpting and brow lamination
- Body: spray tans, body scrubs and 60 or 90 minute massages, including lymphatic drainage and pregnancy massage
- Hair Removal, Waxing and IPL, including SHR-IPL for men and women
Second, the facials are grouped by skin concern, so a client with pigmentation or sensitive skin can find the right option without knowing product names. A note that a consultation always takes place reassures first-timers.
Gift voucher pathways for last-minute buyers
Gift vouchers are a valuable source of new clients, because the recipient often becomes a regular. Voucher buyers are also in a hurry, so I placed the Gift Voucher section near the top of the homepage, straight after the welcome, rather than tucking it into a menu.
The message is short and warm: want to look after a friend or family member? Vabe offers gift vouchers to make sure all your loved ones are looked after, just enquire within. The phone number in the top bar is always one tap away, so a buyer can act immediately. For someone shopping two days before a birthday, removing every step between intention and enquiry is what wins the sale.
Soft, polished design that matches the salon experience
The visual design follows the feeling of a good treatment: unhurried, soft and polished. Gentle colours, generous spacing and elegant typography give the site a premium feel, while the clear category structure keeps it practical.
An Our Products section explains that Vabe works only with premium professional products, and an Our Brands section shows them, which matters to clients who care about what goes on their skin. A gallery gives a glimpse of the space and the results. Client reviews in the What Our Clients Say section add the reassurance new clients look for before booking a facial or IPL treatment with someone new.
Lightweight performance and local SEO for Prahran beauty searches
Beauty searches happen on phones, often while planning a weekend. I kept the build lightweight, optimising images and layouts so the menu loads quickly. My Core Web Vitals guide covers the techniques. Treatment names and categories double as local search terms, supported by the consistent Malvern Road address and phone number.
I continue to maintain the site with updates, security, backups and 24/7 monitoring, holding a 99.9% uptime record with zero security incidents. For another beauty client, see my work for Albert Park Laser and Beauty.
