The Challenge
Sixfam simplifies business phones, internet and IT support for Australian businesses, with a local team serving Melbourne, regional Victoria, Southern NSW and clients nationwide. The Sixfam WordPress website had to practise the simplicity the company preaches, explaining technical services in a way any business owner can follow.
Telco is famously frustrating. Business owners are tired of confusing contracts, jargon and overseas call centres, and Sixfam's whole pitch is the opposite: no lock-in contracts, real local experts and a dedicated account manager. The site had to explain 3CX phone systems, nbn, mobile plans and IT support without drowning visitors in technical language.
It also had to carry the customer-first values convincingly and generate enquiries from businesses ready to leave big-telco service behind.
The Solution
I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance using plain-language service explanations. The hero, "Simplified Telecommunications for Australian Businesses", is followed immediately by the core values: Customer First, Simplicity, local support with no overseas call centres, and Reliability. The four headline services, 3CX phone systems, nbn and internet, local IT support and mobile plans, each get a one-line explanation and a Learn More link.
The full Services menu goes deeper, adding phone systems, on-site electrical installations and infrastructure support, business data, Wi-Fi and network solutions, and security cameras and access control. A dedicated 3CX section explains why a software phone system beats traditional PBX hardware in everyday terms: mobile and desktop apps, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace integration, call queues and voicemail-to-email.
An Areas We Service page, a VACC Partnership page, a blog and Google reviews round out the trust story. As Developer and Site Manager, I keep it connected, maintained and secure.
Business phone systems and IT support explained without jargon
The Sixfam WordPress website is built for small and medium business owners who are not telco experts and do not want to become one. Every service is introduced in a single plain sentence before any detail. 3CX is a modern cloud-based phone system, nbn is fast, reliable business internet, local IT support is an Australian-based team ready to help, and mobile plans run on Telstra Wholesale with nationwide coverage.
The 3CX section shows how this works for a more technical product. It opens with the benefit, a complete phone system with all the features you need and none of the complexity you do not, then lists the practical advantages in short points: lower phone bills, an easy web interface, included mobile and desktop apps, and integration with the tools businesses already use.
Values-led trust building for businesses leaving big telcos
Sixfam competes on service, not scale, so the site leads with values rather than plans and prices. The Our Core Values section appears directly under the hero, and the About section explains the mission plainly: making telecommunications simple and accessible for Australian small and medium businesses, with no frustrating major telcos, confusing contracts or overseas support centres.
Two promises carry the message. Local Support highlights a 100% Australian-based support team, and Dedicated Service explains that every client gets a dedicated account manager as a consistent point of contact. Google reviews from business customers then confirm it, describing what it was like to switch from a big provider. For a business owner burned by call centre queues, this section often does the selling.
Areas We Service: Melbourne, Gippsland and Albury-Wodonga
Sixfam's service area is unusually broad for a small provider, so a dedicated Areas We Service page explains it region by region. It covers Melbourne and Greater Melbourne, from the CBD to every metropolitan region, then regional Victoria, including Gippsland towns such as Traralgon, Morwell, Moe, Warragul and Sale, and Southern New South Wales, including Albury-Wodonga.
The page also explains nationwide remote deployment, so businesses anywhere in Australia know they can be set up and supported. This structure gives Sixfam relevant content for regional searches that big telcos rarely target directly. My guide to Google AI Mode and AI Overviews explains why clear, location-specific answers like these help small businesses stay visible.
Lightweight design that practises the simplicity it preaches
A company selling simplicity cannot have a cluttered website. I kept the design clean and lightweight, with clear sections, short paragraphs and consistent service cards, so visitors understand what Sixfam does within one scroll. Pages load quickly, which matters for an audience that judges a technology provider partly by how well its own site works.
Navigation is grouped into Services, About and Contact, with supporting pages such as the VACC Partnership and a documents page. The closing call to action, "Ready to Simplify Your Business Communications?", gives a single clear next step, and the phone number and support email are always visible in the footer.
Site management for a growing telco provider
As Developer and Site Manager, I handle WordPress and Breakdance updates, security hardening, backups, 24/7 uptime monitoring and content changes as Sixfam adds services. The site holds a 99.9% uptime record with zero security incidents, and every page loads clean. For a provider whose promise is zero dropouts, that reliability is part of the brand, and it means the Sixfam team never has to think about the website while they look after their own clients.
For a Gippsland business I also work with, see my build for Live Wire Electrical, which serves Warragul, Rosedale and Walhalla.
