Kingsminster Ponte Vedra

WordPress · Education, 2026. Role: Web Developer

Kingsminster Ponte Vedra is a new independent K-8 Christian school in Ponte Vedra, Florida, preparing to welcome its founding families in 2027. I built the site on WordPress with a custom block theme, covering admission, tuition, the four pillars and campus construction.

Key results

  • 11 Acre campus
  • 78,000 Square feet of facilities
  • 4 Admission journey steps
  • 6 Opening timeline stages

The Challenge

Kingsminster Ponte Vedra is an independent K-8 Christian school being built on an 11-acre campus in Ponte Vedra, Florida, with the backing of Outreach Education. Its mission is a Christ-centered education shaped by teacher excellence and the formation of mind, body and spirit, with strong academics, small classes, chapel, fine arts and athletics. The school broke ground in June 2026 and is now enrolling its founding K-7 classes.

That creates an unusual challenge for a website: the school is asking families to commit to something that does not exist yet. Parents considering Kingsminster cannot tour classrooms or talk to current families, so they need to understand the vision, the leadership and the plan in enough detail to trust it with their child's education.

The site had to present the school with the polish families expect from an independent school, explain the four-pillar model, give clear answers on tuition and Florida's Step Up Educational Savings Account, show visible progress on the campus, and make it easy for interested families to inquire and apply.

The Solution

I built the site on WordPress with a custom block theme written for Kingsminster, so each section, from the crest to the opening timeline, is assembled from blocks the school can edit without breaking the design. The navigation is short, About, Admission and News & Events, with two buttons, Apply and Inquire, that sit in the header on every page.

The homepage tells the story in order. A hero announces that applications are open for grades K-7, a campus section introduces the 11-acre site and its 78,000 square feet of new facilities, and a crest section explains the meaning of the book, cross, crown, lion and lighthouse. A six-stage timeline to opening shows which milestones are complete and which are in progress.

The Admission page walks parents through a four-step journey, inquiry, application, personal follow-up and connect, introduced in the first person by the Founding Director of Enrollment. Inquiries go through a Gravity Forms form, while Apply links to the school's Finalsite enrollment portal. Tuition, the FAQ, leadership biographies and a Watch Us Build construction page complete the site.

Kingsminster Ponte Vedra: a new K-8 Christian school in Ponte Vedra, Florida

Kingsminster describes itself as a Cathedral of Christian Learning, and the site is built to carry that tone. The About page sets out the mission, vision and values, faith, excellence, integrity and service, and describes a campus with an academic building and chapel, a competition gymnasium, a full-size soccer field, a six-lane track and multiple playgrounds.

The school welcomes families from a variety of faith backgrounds, and the copy reflects that warmth. A Leadership page introduces the founding team, including a Founding Executive Director with decades of independent school leadership and the Founding Director of Enrollment & Community Engagement. For parents choosing a school that is still being built, knowing who leads it is often the deciding factor, so these pages get generous space.

Presenting the four pillars of a Kingsminster education

The student experience is organized around four pillars, and the site gives each one room on a dedicated Four Pillars page:

  • Academics: a comprehensive K-8 curriculum, small classes and integrated STEM
  • Spiritual Life: chapel, Scripture and a Bible curriculum in the Episcopal tradition
  • Fine Arts: visual arts and ceramics, music, drama and a student podcast studio
  • Athletics: competitive and recreational sport that builds character and teamwork

Each pillar opens with a numbered heading and a three-word summary, such as Rigorous, Purposeful, Comprehensive, followed by specific programs. The same pillars appear in short form on the Admission page, so parents meet the model in more than one place and the message stays consistent.

An admission and tuition path built for founding families

Founding families need clear next steps, so I designed the Admission page around a guided journey. It opens with the founding grades, the 11-acre campus, the planned founding enrollment and the fall 2027 opening, then sets out the four steps from inquiry to a personal conversation, with the expected response time for each.

The Tuition & Accessibility page shows planning figures for the 2027-2028 founding year for lower and middle school, what tuition includes and what may be billed separately. It also explains the Step Up Educational Savings Account, which is open to every Florida family regardless of income, and links to Step Up For Students so parents can apply early. An FAQ grouped into Vision & Mission, Student Experience and Launch & Admissions answers the rest.

Search visibility for private Christian schools in Ponte Vedra and St. Johns County

Families searching for a private Christian school in Ponte Vedra or across St. Johns County need to find Kingsminster before it opens. Each page has a descriptive title and a clean heading structure, and Rank Math manages metadata and the XML sitemap. Copy uses the terms parents search for, such as independent K-8 Christian school, tuition and admission, in natural sentences rather than keyword lists.

The Watch Us Build page adds fresh, local content as construction moves forward. It sets out the construction timeline from founding and design through groundbreaking to the ribbon cutting, alongside architectural renderings of the campus. A News & Events section is organized into announcements, construction, events, press and campus categories, ready for updates as opening day approaches.

A custom theme that keeps the Kingsminster site fast and easy to update

Building a custom block theme instead of relying on a heavy page builder keeps the site light. Styles and scripts are limited to what the theme needs, layouts are built from core WordPress blocks such as groups, images and buttons, and pages stay responsive from a parent's phone to a desktop screen. Site Kit connects Google Analytics and Search Console so the school can see which pages lead to inquiries.

As the school moves from construction to its founding year, the admission office can update tuition, timeline stages and news in the block editor without developer help. If you are launching a school or organization and need a site that builds trust before day one, get in touch or see more case studies.
