The Challenge

Kibuk Tile And Construction is a Vancouver, Washington contractor that specializes in residential tile design and installation, including ceramic, porcelain, marble, mosaic and terrazzo. Alongside tiling, the company handles bathroom, kitchen and basement remodeling, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, cork and stone flooring, and fire and water damage restoration for homeowners in Vancouver, Portland and Beaverton.

Tile customers usually arrive with a specific job in mind: a bathroom that needs new tile, a kitchen backsplash, tired grout in a shower or a floor that has to stand up to daily traffic. They want to know the contractor handles that exact service, that it works in their city and that getting a free estimate is easy. Terrazzo in particular needs explaining, because few homeowners know how the installation methods differ.

The website had to present a wide range of tile and remodeling services clearly, give each one enough detail to rank on its own, cover three cities across Washington and Oregon and keep the phone number and estimate form within reach on every page.

The Solution

I built the site on WordPress with a custom theme on the Foundation framework, using a two-level menu that splits the offer into Services for tile work and Remodeling Services for broader renovation and flooring. The header keeps the phone number and the service area line visible, and every page closes with the hours of operation, the contractor license and a short contact form.

The tile section has eight dedicated pages: ceramic tile, floor tiles, residential marble installation, mosaic repair, residential mosaic, terrazzo installation, tile repair and wall tiles. Remodeling Services adds ten more, from basement, bathroom and kitchen remodeling to cork, hardwood, laminate, stone and vinyl flooring and fire and water damage restoration. Each page opens with a short summary and a call to get a quote, then explains the service in plain language.

A Service Areas page links 57 local pages that pair each service with Vancouver, Portland or Beaverton. A Showcase gallery of 50 project photos, a tiling FAQ and the contact form, protected by reCAPTCHA, complete the path from research to estimate.

Kibuk Tile And Construction: tile and terrazzo specialists in Vancouver, WA

Kibuk Tile And Construction grew its business from the ground up and presents itself as a residential tile design and installation specialist that suits homes with budgets of all sizes. The homepage introduces that promise, then focuses on two of the most common reasons homeowners call: tiled bathrooms and porcelain tile, which the site presents as a way to improve both the look and the value of a home.

The About page explains how the company works: an upfront, transparent service that keeps clients informed about every tiling option, including less common choices like terrazzo. It sets out three reasons to choose tile and terrazzo, beauty, durability and easy cleaning, with plain detail such as terrazzo's mix of concrete with bits of stone, marble and glass. That kind of explanation helps a homeowner who is still choosing a material, not only one who is ready to book.

18 tile, flooring and remodeling services in Vancouver and Portland

Services are split into two menus so visitors can find their job quickly:

  • Tile: ceramic tile, floor tiles, wall tiles, marble and terrazzo installation
  • Mosaic and repair: residential mosaic, mosaic repair and tile repair
  • Remodeling: basement, bathroom and kitchen remodeling
  • Flooring: cork, hardwood, laminate, stone and vinyl
  • Restoration: fire damage and water damage restoration

Each page has room for real detail. The terrazzo page compares modern epoxy terrazzo with the traditional sand-cushion method, explains why the traditional method is planned into new construction and covers durability and cleaning. The bathroom remodeling page walks through the on-site assessment, the planning conversation and what the homeowner can expect, ending with a clear call to request a quote.

Gallery, FAQ and a contact form on every Kibuk Tile page

For a tiling company the finished work is the best sales tool, so the Showcase page holds a gallery of 50 project photos that lets visitors judge the quality of the finish before they pick up the phone.

The FAQ answers the questions homeowners actually ask about tile: the benefits of re-grouting a shower, whether tiled backsplashes prevent stains, how to choose a layout such as herringbone, basket weave or stacked tile, whether cabinets must come out to tile a kitchen, which tile suits a fireplace surround and whether high-gloss tile works on countertops.

The conversion path stays simple. The phone number sits in the header, the footer lists opening hours for all seven days of the week, and a short form asks only for name, phone, email and a message, with reCAPTCHA keeping spam out of the inbox.

Local SEO for tile installation in Vancouver, Portland and Beaverton

Kibuk is based in Vancouver, Washington and also serves Portland and Beaverton in Oregon, so local pages carry much of the search strategy. The Service Areas page groups 57 location pages by service, with a short description followed by links for each city, such as Vancouver bathroom remodeling, Portland terrazzo installation or Beaverton tile repair.

That structure lets each service and city combination target its own search term instead of asking one page to rank for everything. The theme outputs clear page titles such as Bathroom And Kitchen Tile Contractors, LocalBusiness structured data with opening hours and descriptive image alt text that names the service and location. Internal links from the menus, the service pages and the Service Areas hub tie the whole set together.

A lightweight WordPress build for Kibuk Tile And Construction

The site runs on a lean custom WordPress theme built on the Foundation framework, with jQuery, the Slick slider and Font Awesome icons handling the interactive pieces. Pages are mostly text and images, the gallery uses resized thumbnails rather than full-size originals, and the layout adapts cleanly from a desktop screen to a phone.

Because every service and area page follows the same template, adding a new service or a new city is a matter of creating the page and linking it into the menu and the Service Areas hub. Content updates, such as new gallery photos or revised hours, happen in the WordPress editor without touching code, and Google Analytics measures visits across the site.
