The Challenge
Best Floor Coverings is a family-owned flooring company with a large product range and professional installation services. The business needed a new Best Floor Coverings WordPress website built to match a supplied Adobe XD design as closely as possible, while keeping the final build clean, responsive and easy to manage.
Design-to-development projects often fail in the details. Spacing drifts, fonts render differently and layouts that look perfect in a design file break on real screens. The client needed confidence that the site they approved in XD was the site they would get.
The build also had real business goals. It had to present a strong local identity, showcase a large flooring range and support two key customer journeys: people looking to order flooring products and people who want to schedule professional installation.
The Solution
I developed the website in WordPress using Elementor, with a strong focus on translating the XD design into an accurate, polished frontend. I worked through the design section by section, matching layout, spacing, typography and color, then used custom CSS and JavaScript where Elementor's defaults could not reproduce the design faithfully.
Responsive behavior was handled carefully. Wherever the design needed to adapt to smaller screens, I adjusted layouts for tablet and mobile in a way that preserved the original visual direction, so the brand feels consistent on every device.
The site was structured for clear content flow and easy editing, giving the client control over updates without risking the design. Global styles in Elementor mean any new page automatically picks up the same fonts, colors and spacing as the approved design. The final build reflects the brand, supports local trust and makes it easier for users to explore flooring services, product options and installation offerings, reflected in the design match and build accuracy results for this project.
Turning an Adobe XD design into an accurate WordPress build
The Best Floor Coverings WordPress website started with a finished Adobe XD design, so my role was to bring it to life as accurately as possible. Design match and build accuracy were the measures that mattered most.
My process for this XD to WordPress build:
- Review the design in detail, noting spacing, type scales and reusable components
- Set global styles in Elementor so fonts and colors match the design
- Build each section to the design, comparing against XD along the way
- Use custom CSS and JavaScript where the builder needs extra precision
- Test and refine across breakpoints
This approach keeps the finished site faithful to what the client approved, while making sure it works properly as a live, responsive website.
Showcasing a large flooring range for a family-owned business
Best Floor Coverings offers a large range of flooring products, and the site needed to present that range without overwhelming visitors. Following the design, I structured the content so product options are grouped clearly and easy to explore, helping customers narrow down what suits their home.
The family-owned identity is an important part of the brand. Local, personal service is a big reason customers choose an independent flooring business, so the site keeps that identity visible alongside the product range.
Two clear customer journeys
Some visitors want to order flooring products, while others want professional installation. The site supports both paths with clear calls to action, so each customer can move toward the outcome they came for without confusion.
Elementor build that is easy for the client to manage
A pixel-accurate site is only useful if the client can maintain it. I built the website in Elementor with consistent global styles and reusable sections, so the team can update text and images without breaking the layout.
Content was organized for clear flow from page to page, with logical headings and a simple navigation structure. That clarity helps visitors and makes the site easier to update over time, since every page follows the same patterns.
Clean, efficient builds also help performance and search visibility. Keeping the Elementor setup tidy means pages load quickly and give a good experience on mobile, where many local customers first look up a flooring company before visiting or calling. A lean build also makes future maintenance simpler and cheaper.
Local presentation and SEO for a flooring company
Local trust and visibility were part of the brief. The site presents Best Floor Coverings as an established, family-owned local business, with clear headings and content that tell search engines what the company offers and who it serves.
Content for flooring products and installation gives the site focused pages for the kinds of searches local customers make, and a clear page hierarchy keeps important content easy to crawl.
I have also built websites for other flooring businesses, including Aspect Flooring. If you have a design ready and need a developer who will build it accurately in WordPress, or you are still working out a budget with my guide to website costs in 2026, get in touch.
