Breathe Performance
WordPress · Health & Fitness, 2023. Role: WordPress Developer
A strength, balance, and recovery space with a full bathhouse: hot and cold magnesium plunge pools, traditional sauna, and steam therapy. Their WordPress and Breakdance site sells memberships and offers, and I keep it running at full capacity.

The Challenge
Breathe Performance runs limited-time offers like the $59 seven-day unlimited bathhouse pass, so the Breathe Performance WordPress website has to move fast: publish promos quickly, capture signups and handle the traffic those deals bring.
At the same time it has to present a premium wellness brand. Breathe is a dedicated space for strength, balance and recovery, with a full bathhouse featuring hot and cold magnesium plunge pools, a traditional sauna and steam therapy, plus infrared sauna, compression therapy, Reformer Pilates and an in-house cafe. A cluttered, discount-heavy site would undermine that positioning.
And much of that happens on a phone screen. The site needed to look beautiful on a small screen, explain each service clearly, and make buying a pass, joining a membership or claiming an offer feel effortless.
The Solution
I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance around the INHALE, EXHALE, BREATHE brand rhythm. A showreel video opens the homepage, followed by the current headline offer and a clear Book Now button, so promotions get maximum visibility without breaking the premium feel.
Offer banners and signup paths are built as editable sections, making it easy to swap promotions as they change. A top bar offers 10% off for new visitors, alongside links to buy gift cards and casual passes, and each service, bathhouse, infrared sauna, compression therapy and Reformer Pilates, has its own page.
Membership and offer forms capture leads directly on the homepage, and booking links point visitors to the studio's app for class reservations. It stays under my continuous maintenance and security watch, lightweight, fast and never once compromised.
Breathe Performance: a Gold Coast recovery-focused bathhouse
Breathe Performance describes itself as the Gold Coast's first recovery-focused bathhouse, based in Arundel. It combines advanced recovery therapies with movement and nutrition: a bathhouse with hot and cold magnesium plunge pools, traditional sauna and steam, infrared sauna sessions, compression therapy, Reformer Pilates and a cafe serving coffee, matcha and protein-packed drinks.
Its audience ranges from athletes focused on performance and recovery to people simply seeking more energy and balance. The brand values, authenticity, precision, performance and community, speak to both.
The website needed to communicate that this is a premium sanctuary, not a budget gym, while still promoting offers that bring new people through the door. Balancing aspiration with conversion was the core design problem.
Offer banners and signup paths that update fast
Promotions drive a lot of Breathe's growth, so the Breathe Performance WordPress website makes them easy to run. The homepage hero rotates between the brand showreel and the current offer, such as seven-day unlimited bathhouse access, with a Book Now button right beside it.
Offer content is built as reusable Breakdance sections, so changing a price, swapping a promotion or launching a challenge does not require a rebuild. A top bar carries a standing New Here? Get 10% Off message, and a dedicated form issues a discount code in exchange for contact details.
Separate pages support campaigns like the Pilates challenge and limited offers, while membership and casual pass links appear in the header. Every form asks only for what is needed, and includes spam protection, keeping signups quick on mobile.
Service pages for bathhouse, infrared, compression and Reformer Pilates
Each service has its own page, giving visitors detail when they want it and giving search engines focused content:
- Bathhouse: hot and cold magnesium plunge pools, sauna and steam therapy
- Infrared sauna for deep detox and relaxation
- Compression therapy for recovery
- Reformer Pilates for mobility, posture and core strength
- Cafe: recovery-friendly food and drinks
The homepage summarises the benefits in four short statements, improved mobility and strength, deep detox and stress relief, performance-driven nutrition and tailored memberships, before linking to each service. Pilates booking guidance explains that reserving ahead is required and recommends the app for the best experience, which sets expectations before people arrive.
A premium wellness brand on a phone screen
Wellness offers are often discovered and claimed on a phone, so I designed for mobile first. Large, calm imagery, short headlines and the INHALE, EXHALE, BREATHE motif create a consistent rhythm as people scroll.
The showreel can be paused, the navigation is simple, and calls to action are large enough to tap easily. An Instagram feed near the footer connects the website to the brand's social presence, showing real moments from the space and cafe.
Footer details include the Arundel address, two phone numbers and quick links to every service, the FAQ and the contact page. The result is a site that feels like a premium wellness destination while working as a practical tool for buying passes and joining. I took a similar approach to promotions for Serious Fitness in Coburg.
Built to handle promo traffic: speed and ongoing maintenance
Offers create traffic spikes, and a slow page during a promotion costs signups. I kept the Breakdance build lightweight, with optimised images and video and minimal scripts, following the principles in my Core Web Vitals guide.
The site stays under my continuous maintenance: updates, backups, uptime monitoring and security checks, plus testing of offer forms whenever promotions change. It holds a 99.9% uptime record, zero security incidents, 24/7 site monitoring and 100% of pages loading clean.
