The Challenge
Budget fitness competes on offers, and Coburg has no shortage of gyms along Sydney Road. The Serious Fitness WordPress website had to sell affordable personal training from $10.95 a week, run time-limited promotions like one week free with no enrolment fee, and convert locals before the motivation from that first Google search fades.
Serious Fitness is a private personal training studio led by Bruce, with three distinct services: one-on-one personal training, group training that splits the cost between friends, and contest preparation for bodybuilding competitors. Each attracts a different person, from a nervous beginner to a seasoned competitor, and the site had to welcome all of them.
The promotions also change, and deadlines sometimes get extended, so the offer had to be easy to update without a redesign every time.
The Solution
I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance, with an offer banner system at its centre. Directly under the hero sits a bold block: Only $10.95 a week, Get one week free plus no enrolment fee, with the current deadline beneath it. Because it is a single editable component, a new deal or an extended end date can be updated quickly without touching the rest of the page.
The homepage then lays out the three services as clear tiers, introduces the #NoJudgments philosophy and details the 12-Week Serious Results Program item by item. Call Us Now and View Services buttons repeat through the page, so momentum is never lost. Supporting content, including a library of healthy recipes, fitness tips, a gallery of the studio and real member testimonials, gives visitors more reasons to stay and trust the studio.
I keep the site updated, secure and monitored, and it holds a 99.9% uptime record with zero security incidents.
Offer banners that drive Coburg personal training signups
Offers are the engine of the Serious Fitness WordPress website, so they get prime position. The banner states the price, Only $10.95 a week, then the incentive, one week free plus no enrolment fee, then the deadline. Putting the date in plain view adds urgency honestly, and when the business extends a promotion the banner says so too, with a simple Offer Extended line.
I built the banner as one Breakdance component so the wording, price and date can change without affecting the layout on mobile or desktop. Directly beneath it, a motivational quote and a Call Us Now button turn interest into action. For a budget studio, this is the difference between a visitor thinking about it and a visitor picking up the phone the same day.
Personal training, group training and contest prep, clearly tiered
Serious Fitness offers three services, and each has its own page and homepage card. Personal Training highlights Bruce and the team's tailored, targeted workouts in a private studio. Group Training is pitched on cost, inviting visitors to split the price with a friend or two while still getting personal attention. Contest Preparation speaks to people keen to enter bodybuilding competitions with an experienced guide.
Laying these out side by side lets each visitor self-select within seconds. The #NoJudgments section that follows matters most for beginners, who are often the most hesitant buyers, and the testimonials back it up with members describing a non-intimidating environment. The navigation mirrors the same structure, so someone who lands on a service page from search can move between options without returning to the homepage.
Selling the 12-Week Serious Results Program
The studio's flagship package needed more than a single line. On the homepage, the 12-Week Serious Results Program opens with the real problem, that establishing a routine is the hardest part, and then lists exactly what is included: one-on-one personal training sessions, a 12-week menu plan, the Seriously Healthy Recipe Book, assessments every six weeks, Serious Journals and unlimited phone and email support.
Listing each component makes the value concrete, which matters when competing with cheaper gym memberships. The recipes section that follows reinforces the nutrition side with posts such as tuna and vegetable fettuccine and hoisin chicken rice rolls, each on its own page. That content also gives Google more relevant pages to index for a fitness business, beyond the core service pages.
Fast pages and local SEO for a Sydney Road personal training studio
People searching for a personal trainer in Coburg often compare several studios on their phone in one sitting, so speed is part of conversion. I kept the build lean, with properly sized images and layouts that put the offer and call button first on small screens.
The page title, Serious Fitness, Affordable Personal Training in Coburg, and the matching meta description target that search directly. Trading hours from 5:30am on weekdays, the Sydney Road address and a tap-to-call number sit in the footer of every page, which supports local relevance and helps early-morning visitors. Ongoing maintenance for Serious Fitness
Like a good training plan, a website needs consistency. I keep the Serious Fitness site on a regular maintenance schedule: WordPress core, Breakdance and plugin updates, backups, security checks and 24/7 uptime monitoring. The site holds a 99.9% uptime record, zero security incidents and every page loading clean, so a promotion is never live on a broken page.
When an offer changes or a deadline is extended, the update is checked across devices before it goes live. That reliability is what lets a small studio run time-sensitive deals with confidence. You can see similar work for another fitness business in my Chiron Fitness case study.
