SEO Services for Technical, Local and AI Search
I fix the technical side of SEO, build the service and city pages local businesses need, and prepare sites to be read and cited by AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Most of my SEO work sits inside the websites I build and maintain for trades, automotive, ecommerce and professional service businesses in Australia, the US, the UK and Europe.
What is included
- Technical SEO audit and fixes: I check indexing, crawl errors, redirects, canonicals, heading structure and sitemaps, then fix what is holding pages back. You get a written list of what changed.
- Service and city pages: One dedicated page for each core service and each area you cover, written for the people searching there rather than cloned with the town name swapped.
- Schema markup and structured data: JSON-LD for your business type, services, products, FAQs and breadcrumbs, so search engines and AI assistants can read who you are and what you offer.
- Page speed and Core Web Vitals: Work on Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and layout shift through image handling, caching, script cleanup and lighter page builds.
- AI search visibility (GEO and AEO): Answer-first content, an llms.txt file, access for AI search crawlers and consistent business details so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini can find and cite you.
- On-page SEO and metadata: Meta titles, descriptions, internal links and image alt text written page by page, set up in Rank Math on WordPress or the native fields on Shopify and Webflow.
- Tracking and measurement setup: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Site Kit and Tag Manager configured so calls, forms and search queries can be measured from the start.
- Consistent local business details: Your name, address, phone number and service areas kept identical across the site, the schema and your Google Business Profile, which local search depends on.
What do your SEO services include?
My SEO service covers five connected areas: technical SEO, local SEO, structured data, page speed and AI search visibility. Each one supports the others, so I usually treat them as a single piece of work rather than a menu of separate add-ons.
Technical SEO makes sure Google can crawl and index the pages that matter. Local SEO gives each service and each area you work in its own page. Structured data describes your business in a format machines can read without guessing. Speed work keeps pages quick on a phone over a weak connection. AI search work makes your content easy for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews to quote.
Out of my 215 published case studies, 177 carry an SEO tag, 184 are tagged Local SEO and 62 are tagged Technical SEO. Most are WordPress sites for trades, automotive workshops and service businesses, alongside Shopify and Webflow builds.
What I do not do is promise rankings. Nobody controls Google's results, and anyone guaranteeing a position is guessing. I commit to the work instead: a site that is technically clean, well structured and written to answer the searches your customers actually make.
Who is this SEO service for?
This service suits businesses that depend on being found in a specific area or for a specific product: contractors, mechanics, clinics, law firms, hospitality venues and online stores. It also suits owners who already have a decent website but suspect it is held back by technical problems they cannot see.
Automotive is the industry I have worked in most, with 53 automotive case studies, followed by ecommerce, trade services and construction. Many of those are Australian businesses whose sites carry Local SEO and Technical SEO tags, such as Danaci Motors in Noble Park, Live-Wire Electrical in Gippsland, Taylor Legal in Ocean Grove and PL Plumbing in Melbourne's CBD. On the US side, contractor builds like DH Fence Pros in Seattle and Capital Construction in Sacramento were planned around service pages and city pages from day one.
It is a poor fit if you want a monthly report of vanity numbers with no changes made to the site. My SEO work happens in the code, the page structure and the content, so it suits owners who want one person who can find a problem and fix it directly.
What does technical SEO cover?
Technical SEO covers everything that decides whether search engines can reach, read and trust your pages. I start with indexing: which pages Google has, which it has skipped and why. Then I work through the structure and the code.
- Crawl errors, broken links and redirect chains
- Canonical tags and duplicate pages, common on WordPress archives and Shopify collection filters
- Heading structure, with one clear H1 and a logical order beneath it
- XML sitemaps and robots.txt rules
- Mobile layout, font sizes and tap targets
- Meta titles and descriptions that match what each page says
- Image sizes, formats and alt text
Every site I build ships with this foundation in place, including schema markup, an XML sitemap and a mobile-first layout. When I take on an existing site, I audit it first so you can see the issues before anything is touched.
On WordPress I usually work with Rank Math and Google Site Kit, both of which appear in the stacks of recent builds such as Torpedo Truck Repair and Kingsminster Ponte Vedra. On Shopify, technical fixes are made in the Liquid templates, which is where most of the structural issues in a store live.
How do service and city pages help local SEO?
Service and city pages give Google a specific page to show for a specific search, such as a fence contractor in Tacoma or a kitchen remodel in Roseville. A single page that lists every service and every suburb gives search engines no clear answer for any one of them.
I build one page per core service, then pages for the cities or suburbs you genuinely serve. Each page needs its own reason to exist: the work you do there, local projects, relevant photos, reviews and a clear way to call or request a quote. Swapping the town name in a template produces thin pages, so I avoid that approach.
Examples from my case studies:
- JDI Construction in Vancouver, Washington: a custom WordPress theme with 210 local pages, cost calculators and a room design visualizer
- Inline Security Fence in Kent, Washington: fence service pages, a project portfolio and 51 city pages
- Seattle Modern Buildings: 17 DADU floor plans, a project map and 30 city pages
- Origami Design Build: 29 city pages built around the design-build process
- Torpedo Truck Repair: 13 service pages plus local pages for its Fife and Chicago shops
These pages are built to support more calls and quote requests from the areas you want to win work in.
What is structured data and why does my site need it?
Structured data, usually written as JSON-LD schema markup, is code that tells search engines exactly what a page describes: a local business, a service, a product, an FAQ, an article or a person. Without it, search engines and AI tools infer those details from your text and sometimes get them wrong.
I add schema that matches your business type and your pages. A mechanic might use AutoRepair, a contractor a fitting LocalBusiness subtype, a store Product and Offer data, and an information page FAQPage or Article. Breadcrumbs, opening hours, service areas and phone numbers are included where they are accurate and visible on the page, because markup describing content a visitor cannot see is a risk rather than a help.
Structured data matters more now that AI assistants lean on it. When ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Mode assemble an answer, clear entity data helps them connect your business name, location and services correctly.
On WordPress I set this up through Rank Math or directly in the theme, on Shopify in Liquid, and on custom builds as a JSON-LD script rendered with the page. Torpedo Truck Repair is one recent build with schema markup listed in its stack.
How do you improve page speed and Core Web Vitals?
I improve speed by finding what actually slows a page down, then removing or deferring it. Google's three Core Web Vitals are Largest Contentful Paint, which should be 2.5 seconds or less, Interaction to Next Paint, 200 milliseconds or less, and Cumulative Layout Shift, 0.1 or less, all measured on real visits.
Typical fixes include:
- Prioritising and compressing the hero image and serving modern formats
- Deferring or removing third-party scripts such as chat widgets and unused trackers
- Breaking up long JavaScript tasks that delay taps and clicks
- Reserving space for images and embeds so the layout does not jump
- Caching through tools like LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare
- Cutting plugin and page builder bloat
Of my case studies, 67 carry a Performance Optimization tag and 50 are tagged Lightweight. A clear example is General Auto Electrics Melbourne, where I rebuilt a custom-coded WordPress setup into a lighter Breakdance structure focused on speed and easier content management.
Speed is more than a ranking signal. A page that loads quickly on a phone gives a visitor one less reason to go back to the results and call a competitor.
How do you make a site visible in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews?
I make a site easier for AI search tools to find, trust and quote. This is often called GEO, generative engine optimization, or AEO, answer engine optimization. It builds on normal SEO rather than replacing it, since AI answers draw heavily on pages that are already indexed and well structured.
What I set up
- Crawler access: robots.txt and CDN rules that allow AI search crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot, plus Bing indexing, which Microsoft Copilot relies on
- An llms.txt file: a plain summary of who you are, what you offer and your key pages, written for AI crawlers. My own site publishes one
- Accurate JSON-LD schema and consistent business details everywhere they appear
- Google Search Console settings checked so your content stays eligible for AI features
How I write for it
Answer-first content: each section opens with a direct answer in one or two sentences, then adds detail. Pages carry specific, first-hand information such as real services, real areas and real prices where you are happy to publish them, because AI assistants favour content they can quote with confidence.
In my portfolio, 53 case studies carry a Google AI SEO tag, including Taylor Legal, Live-Wire Electrical and Just Junk Removals.
How long does SEO take and what affects the cost?
Technical fixes can be finished as a defined project, while search visibility builds over months, and I set the timeline for both once I have seen your site. A small site with a few clear problems is quicker to fix than a large WordPress install carrying years of plugins, redirects and duplicate pages.
The main factors that shape a quote:
- The size of the site and how many pages need work
- The platform, and how much access I have to templates and hosting
- How many service and city pages you need, and whether the content exists or needs writing
- The state of existing redirects, past migrations and old URLs
- Whether you want a one-off project or ongoing monthly SEO
I do not publish fixed prices for SEO, because two sites rarely need the same work. Projects are quoted after a free audit or a short call, and you get a written scope with deliverables before anything starts. For reference, the budget options on my contact form run from under $499 through $500-$999, $1,000-$1,999 and $2,000-$2,999, plus a "Let's discuss" option for larger or ongoing work.
How do you measure whether SEO is working?
I measure SEO by what Search Console, analytics and your enquiries show, not by a single ranking screenshot. Before changes go live I make sure tracking is in place, then compare like with like over time.
The measures I look at:
- Impressions, clicks and the queries your pages appear for in Google Search Console
- Indexed pages compared with the pages submitted in your sitemap
- Core Web Vitals from real visits
- Calls, form submissions and booking clicks tracked through Google Analytics, Tag Manager or call tracking such as CallRail
- Visibility for local searches in the areas your city pages target
- Mentions and citations of your business in AI answers, checked monthly
Several of my builds include this tracking layer in their stack: Google Tag Manager and CallRail on DreamLine Custom Cabinetry, Google Site Kit on Golden Coast Construction & Restoration, and Google Analytics on Oleg & Sons Remodeling. Fifty of my case studies are tagged Semrush, which I use alongside Google's own data.
Because I do not control Google, I report what changed on the site and what the numbers did afterwards, so you can judge the work on evidence.
Do I keep ownership of my SEO work and accounts?
Yes. In general terms, SEO work lives on your website and in your accounts, so it stays with your business. Page content, schema, redirects and settings are part of your site, not a rented layer that disappears if we stop working together.
I recommend that your domain, hosting, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile are all owned by your business, with me added as a user. Access can then be granted or removed at any time, and nothing depends on my login. If a past provider set these up under their own account, moving them into your name is one of the first things worth doing.
The same applies to content. Service pages and city pages I write are created for your business and published on your domain, so they keep working for you whoever manages the site later.
The exact terms for each project, including deliverables and which accounts I need access to, are agreed in writing before work starts.
Can you handle SEO remotely from the Philippines?
Yes. SEO is remote work by nature, because everything happens in your website, your Search Console and your analytics. I work from Botolan, Zambales, on Philippine time (UTC+8), for clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
For Australian clients my working day overlaps yours, which suits quick questions about content or service areas. For US, UK and European clients, fixes are often made while you sleep, and you start the day with a written update of what was changed, what was published and what needs your input.
Local knowledge comes from you and your customers. For city pages I ask about the areas you serve, the jobs you do most often there and the details customers mention, then turn that into pages that read as if they were written locally. My US contractor builds across Seattle, Sacramento, the Bay Area and Vancouver, Washington were all planned and built this way, at a distance, with the owners supplying the local detail.
How the work runs
- Audit: I review indexing, technical issues, speed, schema and how well your pages answer real searches, then share what I found before changing anything.
- Plan: We agree on priority fixes, the service and city pages needed, and a written scope with deliverables.
- Fix and build: I make the technical fixes, write or restructure pages, add schema and set up tracking on your live site.
- Measure: I check Search Console, analytics and AI answers, report what changed and plan the next round of work.

SEO Services questions
Can you guarantee first page rankings on Google?
No. Nobody controls Google's results, and I do not promise rankings or positions. What I commit to is the work itself: a technically sound site, clear service and city pages, accurate schema and content written to answer real searches.
What is the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?
SEO is about appearing in search results, GEO is about being cited by AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and AEO is about giving direct answers that search engines can lift into featured results and AI Overviews. In practice they overlap heavily. Clean technical SEO, accurate schema and answer-first content serve all three.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
It is optional, but it is simple to add and I include one when it suits the site. An llms.txt file gives AI crawlers a plain summary of your business and key pages. It works best on top of the basics: crawler access, accurate schema and clear content.
Is SEO included when you build my website?
Yes, the technical foundation is part of every build: a clean heading structure, meta titles and descriptions, schema markup, an XML sitemap, fast Core Web Vitals and mobile-first layouts. Local SEO, content and AI search optimization are available as ongoing services on top of that.
Can you do SEO on Shopify, Webflow or a custom site?
Yes. Most of my SEO work is on WordPress, but I also work in Shopify Liquid, Webflow CMS and custom builds such as Next.js. The platform changes where the fixes are made, not the principles behind them.
How much do your SEO services cost?
It depends on the size of the site and what it needs, so I quote after a free audit or a short call. My contact form lists budget ranges from under $499 up to $2,000-$2,999, plus a "Let's discuss" option for ongoing work.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to your website, Google Search Console and analytics, plus a list of the services you want to be found for and the areas you serve. Customer reviews, project photos and local details make service and city pages much stronger.
