The Challenge
191 Automotive is a busy mechanical workshop at 431 Warrigal Road in Moorabbin that trusts me with its entire web presence. The 191 Automotive WordPress website had to turn a strong word-of-mouth reputation into new customers from search.
Most of the workshop's work came from repeat customers and referrals, but drivers searching online for a mechanic in Moorabbin were landing on competitors instead. Those searchers are often in a hurry. Their car is due for a logbook service, a roadworthy is needed before a sale, or the air conditioning has stopped working in the middle of summer.
The site needed to load fast, explain the workshop's services clearly and make grabbing a quote effortless. And because the owner runs a busy workshop, all of it had to happen without him ever having to think about the technical side of his website.
The Solution
I built the site in WordPress using the Breakdance builder, shaped the service pages around what local drivers actually search for, and wired the quote form straight to the front desk. The homepage headline makes the positioning clear, Moorabbin's Mechanical Specialist, with an Explore Our Services button just below.
A simple three-step process sits on the homepage, request a quote, bring your vehicle in, get it repaired, so new customers know exactly what to expect. Get a Quote buttons repeat throughout the site and lead to a dedicated quote page, while the phone number works as a tap-to-call link.
The navigation is short, Home, About Us, Services, Gallery, Blog, Contact Us and Get a Quote, and Google reviews and opening hours reinforce trust. I handle all ongoing maintenance myself, including core and plugin updates, backups and security hardening, and the site has stayed clean with zero hacks since day one.
About 191 Automotive, Moorabbin's mechanical specialist
191 Automotive is an experienced mechanical workshop with a background that includes European vehicles and time in sports and performance workshops. That expertise sets it apart from general service centres and appeals to owners who care about how their car is looked after.
Its customers are local drivers from Moorabbin and the surrounding bayside suburbs, from families needing a logbook service to enthusiasts with performance and European cars. Many return year after year, and Google reviews praise the team's customer service, fair pricing and quality workmanship.
The website needed to show both sides of the business: the everyday servicing that keeps local families on the road and the specialist knowledge that brings in European and performance car owners. A Why Choose 191 Automotive section and a brand logo strip help communicate that range.
Service pages shaped around what Moorabbin drivers search for
Each service has its own page with a Read More link from the homepage, built around the searches drivers actually make:
- Logbook servicing
- Roadworthy inspections, issued by licensed vehicle testers in Victoria
- Brake and clutch repairs
- Air conditioning and regas
- Coolant flush and change
- Major and minor services
- Transmission services
- General mechanical services
- DPF regeneration
Dedicated pages let each service rank for its own search and answer the questions customers have before they book. The air conditioning page, for example, speaks to Melbourne's hot summers, while the roadworthy page explains what the inspection involves. Every page ends with a Get a Quote button, so a visitor who has found their answer can act on it straight away.
A quote form wired straight to the front desk
The quote form is the most important part of the site. Get a Quote buttons appear in the navigation, on the homepage and at the end of every service page, and they all lead to a dedicated quote page.
Submissions go straight to the front desk, so the team can respond quickly with a price and a booking time. For customers, it is a low-pressure way to start, especially for people who would rather not phone during work hours.
The three-step process on the homepage, request a quote, bring your vehicle in, get it repaired, sets clear expectations. Combined with the tap-to-call phone number, a Google Maps link to the workshop and visible opening hours, every visitor has an easy path to becoming a customer.
Technical and local SEO for a Moorabbin mechanic
The 191 Automotive WordPress website was built to fix one problem: local searchers finding competitors first. The Moorabbin address, phone number and hours are consistent across every page, service pages target specific local searches, and Google reviews on the site reinforce the workshop's reputation.
Technical SEO covers the foundations: fast-loading Breakdance pages, clean heading structure, descriptive metadata and a mobile-friendly layout. A Blog gives the workshop a place to publish helpful car care content over time.
Clear, direct answers also help the site appear in Google's AI-generated results, which increasingly answer questions like how often a car needs a service. My local SEO playbook for mechanics covers the approach in more depth.
