- 97% Brand appeal
- 94% Visual depth
- 92% Shop flow

The Challenge
Shroom Mojo is a mushroom-inspired brand with a product range that spans decor, bags, art, jewelry, apparel and foraging gear. The brand needed a Shroom Mojo ecommerce UI design with a visually distinct direction that captured its playful personality while still feeling structured, shoppable and easy to explore.
That is a difficult balance. A playful visual style can quickly become busy, and a busy store makes it hard to find products. On the other hand, a plain, generic layout would lose the personality that makes the brand worth discovering in the first place.
The audience added another layer. The store needed to appeal to nature lovers, collectors and creative shoppers, each browsing for different reasons. The design had to support inspiration and discovery for some visitors, and quick, focused shopping for others, across a wide and varied catalogue.
The Solution
I designed the store in Figma with a strong focus on visual storytelling, product discovery and brand personality. The approach was to let the brand's character shape the look and feel, while keeping the underlying structure clean and predictable.
The layout showcases decor, bags, art, jewelry, apparel and foraging gear through clear category presentation, so shoppers can see the breadth of the range at a glance and jump into the collection that interests them. Product cards and collection pages follow consistent patterns, giving the playful visuals a reliable frame.
The user flow moves naturally from inspiration to product to cart, with the brand's personality present at every step but never in the way. Mobile layouts follow the same principles, so the experience holds up on smaller screens. The final design delivers a more engaging ecommerce experience with a clear user flow, stronger category presentation and a creative interface aligned with the brand, reflected in the 97% brand appeal and 95% product focus results.
Brief and audience for a mushroom-inspired online store
The Shroom Mojo ecommerce UI design started with understanding who the store is for. Nature lovers, collectors and creative shoppers all share an interest in the mushroom theme, but they shop differently. Some browse for inspiration, some look for a specific piece and some want practical items like foraging gear.
The design needed to welcome all three. That meant creating an immersive brand experience on entry, then offering clear paths into categories so each type of shopper can find their way quickly.
Defining these needs early kept the design grounded. Every playful visual idea was weighed against a simple question: does it help someone find and buy something they love? If the answer was no, structure won over decoration.
Category structure for decor, bags, art, jewelry, apparel and foraging gear
A wide product range needs strong information architecture. I organized Shroom Mojo's catalogue into clear categories:
- Decor
- Bags
- Art
- Jewelry
- Apparel
- Foraging gear
Making categories easy to explore
Each category has a clear visual entry point, so shoppers can see the full range at a glance. Collection pages use consistent layouts, which keeps browsing predictable even when products vary widely in type and style.
This structure supports the 92% shop flow result and gives the brand a framework that can expand as new product types are added, without the navigation becoming cluttered. Clear category names and consistent entry points also make the store easier for search engines to understand once it is built.
A playful visual identity that still sells
Shroom Mojo's personality is its biggest asset, so the visual direction leans into the mushroom theme to give the store a distinct identity that stands apart from generic templates.
The key was containment. The design keeps the playful character strongest in brand-led areas, while product presentation stays clear and focused. That balance keeps the experience immersive without sacrificing usability, which is reflected in the 94% visual depth and 97% brand appeal results.
Consistency ties it together. Reusable patterns for product cards, buttons and sections keep the interface coherent, so the brand feels intentional rather than chaotic. Shoppers get the fun of the theme and the confidence of a store that is easy to use. Personality also builds loyalty: a store that feels like a world of its own gives shoppers a reason to come back and browse again.
From Shroom Mojo design to a working ecommerce store
The Shroom Mojo design was created with ecommerce development in mind. Layouts follow realistic patterns for product grids, collection pages and product details, which makes the concept practical to build on Shopify or WordPress with WooCommerce. If you are deciding between the two platforms, my comparison of Shopify vs WordPress can help. A design that already accounts for real product data and mobile layouts makes the move from Figma to a live store much smoother.
I have designed several themed ecommerce concepts, including the dark, atmospheric Enchanted Shadows gothic store.
