The Challenge

Prompto x Mobbs Radical x ONI INC. - Final Flash needed a visually aggressive music video that could match the full intensity of the track. A Prompto Final Flash music video had to hit as hard as the song itself, with motion, impact and strong scene direction from the opening seconds through to the final drop.

The challenge was balance. Heavy VFX, 3D elements and animated typography can easily overwhelm an edit, especially on a collaboration track where the energy shifts as each artist takes over. The visuals needed to feel polished, energetic and memorable without losing rhythm or clarity, so viewers could follow what was happening even at full speed.

I also wanted the video to feel like one piece rather than a series of separate effects shots. That meant a consistent visual language for impacts, text and transitions across every section of the track.

The Solution

I created the video in After Effects and Blender, with a workflow focused on motion-heavy composition, layered effects and tight synchronization with the music. The first step was a detailed timing map of the track, marking every major hit, transition and change in energy so the edit could follow the song's structure precisely.

Blender produced the 3D elements that add depth and intensity throughout the edit. In After Effects I composited those renders with the visual sequences, then built animated text, dynamic transitions and layered effects that land exactly on the beat. Impact moments were designed as small set pieces, with flashes, shakes and distortion timed to make the biggest hits feel physical.

The final result is a sharper visual identity, stronger pacing and an immersive music video built around speed, impact and style. That is reflected in the key results: 99% impact rate, 98% FX power and 97% beat match across the full edit.

Creative direction for a high-impact collaboration track

Final Flash brings several artists together on one track, and the creative direction had to hold that together. I planned a single visual language for the whole video, then varied intensity rather than style as the energy of the song shifted.

The direction was built on impact. Scenes were selected and arranged for their power: strong poses, explosive moments and dramatic camera movement. Effects were designed to amplify those moments, while typography gave each section a clear identity without breaking the overall look.

Defining these rules up front made the rest of production more efficient. Every effect, title and transition had a purpose, which kept the video aggressive but readable. It is the same approach I take with client briefs: agree on the feel first, then build every detail to match.

Editing and pacing in After Effects

Pacing for an aggressive track is about contrast. If every second is at full intensity, nothing stands out. I built the edit with clear peaks and short breathers, so the biggest hits land with real force.

Cuts follow the beat grid closely, with faster cutting in the hardest sections and slightly longer holds where the track gives space. Impact frames, flashes and camera shakes are reserved for the moments that deserve them, which keeps them powerful instead of repetitive.

That timing work is what earns the 97% beat match result. It is also the most transferable skill in this project, because product videos, ads and social reels all depend on the same rule: the viewer should feel the rhythm even with the sound off.

Blender 3D elements, VFX and animated typography

Blender gave the video its depth. I created 3D elements that could sit within the scenes and move with the camera, adding scale and intensity that flat effects cannot match.

In After Effects I combined those renders with the footage and built the effects layer by layer: glows, energy bursts, distortion, color treatment and motion graphics that make each hit feel physical. Animated typography was designed to move with the same force as the visuals, so the text becomes part of the action rather than a caption on top of it.

Keeping all of this readable at speed meant careful control of contrast and timing. The result scores 98% on FX power and 96% on motion depth, without the edit ever feeling cluttered.

Delivery and motion design for artists and brands

The finished Prompto Final Flash music video was delivered as a high-motion online piece, with exports prepared to protect fast movement and detailed effects from heavy compression on phones and laptops.

This kind of work suits more than music videos. The same mix of 3D, VFX and typography powers launch trailers, event openers, brand intros and short video for websites. Because I also design and build websites, I can deliver motion work that fits its final placement, from a homepage hero to a social campaign.
