Chandos Autos has been Cheltenham's favourite mechanic since 1985, servicing all makes and models with a preventative approach and a simple convenience angle: drop the car, shop at Southland, pick it up done. The Chandos Autos WordPress website had to capture that ease online.

Four decades of local goodwill does not automatically translate into search visibility. New residents and younger drivers search for a mechanic on Google, compare a few options and book with whoever looks trustworthy and easy to deal with.

The site needed to turn Chandos's reputation into rankings without losing the personal feel customers love. The Southland-next-door convenience and prevention-first philosophy had to come through in seconds, roadworthy certificates needed a clear path of their own, and booking had to be quick for drivers across Cheltenham and Melbourne's south-east.

The Solution

I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance around heritage-plus-convenience messaging. The hero reads Trusted and Reliable Car Repairs, Cheltenham's favourite mechanic since 1985, with the phone number and four key points: all makes and models, prevention before problems, services tailored to each vehicle, and relaxing at Southland while your car is serviced.

Tailored service explanations sit under Car Services, with pages for air conditioning, brakes, clutch, cooling, fuel system EFI, logbook servicing, exhaust, suspension, transmission, precision wheel alignments, roadworthy certificates and pre-purchase inspections. A dedicated Shop While We Fix page explains the convenience offer and tune-ups, and Our Service Areas covers nearby suburbs.

A roadworthy certificate section gives RWC customers their own call to action. Book Online links to the workshop's online booking system, and a Quality Business Awards badge and customer testimonials reinforce trust.

The convenience of having Southland Shopping Centre nearby is one of Chandos's strongest selling points, so it appears in the hero and has its own page. Shop While We Fix explains the idea simply: drop off the car, enjoy the shops and cafes, then collect it when the work is done.

The same page explains what a thorough tune-up covers and why regular maintenance protects engine life and fuel economy, which supports the workshop's preventative philosophy.

By turning a location detail into a clear benefit, the site gives busy drivers a practical reason to choose Chandos over a workshop that is slightly closer to home.

The site targets the searches local drivers use, such as mechanic Cheltenham, roadworthy certificate Cheltenham and car service near Southland. Each service page has a focused title and heading, and an Our Service Areas page covers Beaumaris, Black Rock, Sandringham, Highett and the surrounding south-east.

Consistent business details across the site support the workshop's local listing, and the Quality Business Awards recognition adds a credible trust signal.
