The Challenge

Wardrobes are bought with the eyes. A homeowner planning a new robe wants to see finishes, door styles and real installs before they ever talk to a salesperson, and the Designer Image Robes WordPress website had to deliver that inspiration for a family business that manufactures custom wardrobes in Sydney.

The range is broad: built-in, walk-in, glass door, sliding, hinged door, mirror and fully custom-made wardrobes, plus other joinery and storage. Each option needed to be browsable on its own without overwhelming visitors, and the business's strengths, decades of local manufacturing, a 10-year warranty and an appearance on The Block, had to come through quickly.

Most importantly, the site had to move Sydney and Illawarra homeowners from daydreaming to booking a free measure and quote.

The Solution

I built the site on WordPress with custom PHP and CSS, organised around wardrobe-type navigation. The main menu lists every range, Built in, Walk in, Glass Door, Sliding, Hinged Door, Mirror, Custom Made and Other, and the homepage repeats them as a visual grid of image cards, each linking to its own gallery-driven page.

The hero states the promise plainly, Wardrobes Sydney Locals Love, affordable, stylish and built to last, alongside four quick benefits: a 10-year warranty, design help, a range of colours and styles, and custom made to measure. Quote paths appear on every range, and the homepage includes a short Get a Free Quote and Measure form asking for name, phone, email, suburb and a brief description. An As Seen on The Block badge and customer testimonials add credibility.

As developer and site manager, I keep the site organised, updated and secure, with 24/7 monitoring and zero security incidents.

Wardrobe-type navigation for a Sydney robe specialist

The Designer Image Robes WordPress website is organised the way customers shop for storage: by type. Built-in wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes, glass door, sliding, hinged door and mirror wardrobes, and custom made designs each have their own page and their own menu item, with an Other page covering broader joinery and storage work.

On the homepage, the Designs You Can Trust section presents the same ranges as large image cards, each with a Contact Our Experts link. A homeowner who knows they want a walk-in robe can go straight there, while someone still exploring can compare styles visually in one place. Each range page combines gallery images with a quote path, so inspiration and action sit side by side rather than on separate pages.

Gallery-driven pages that sell custom wardrobes visually

Because wardrobes are a visual purchase, images carry most of the persuasion. Each range page leads with installs that show finishes, door styles and internal layouts, giving visitors a realistic sense of what could be built in their own bedroom or hallway. The homepage hero uses the same approach, pairing a confident headline with photography rather than long paragraphs.

Copy supports the images instead of competing with them. Short statements explain that every wardrobe is custom designed to the client's needs, made from high-grade products and installed with quality workmanship. Large galleries can slow a site down, so images are compressed and sized for each layout, which keeps pages quick on mobile, where many homeowners browse ideas in the evening.

Free measure and quote paths on every wardrobe range

The commercial goal of the site is a booked measure and quote. Designer Image sends an experienced salesperson to the home at no cost, Monday to Saturday, with evening appointments available, and the site frames that as a benefit rather than a sales visit, because it helps clients understand what they can achieve in design and storage.

Every range page carries a quote call to action, and the homepage includes a short form titled Get a Free Quote and Measure. It asks only for name, phone number, email, suburb and a brief description, enough for the team to prepare without putting people off. The suburb field also helps the business plan visits across Sydney, the Sutherland Shire and the Illawarra, and the phone number sits high on the page for those who prefer to call.

Local SEO for wardrobes in Sydney and the Sutherland Shire

The homepage title, Wardrobes Sydney, Designer Image Robes, and a meta description mentioning custom built-in, walk-in and sliding designs with a 10-year warranty, target the main commercial search directly. Range pages extend that to more specific terms, such as glass door wardrobes or walk-in wardrobes Sydney, each with its own heading and copy.

Supporting content reinforces local relevance. The site explains that the wardrobes are manufactured in Sydney by an experienced local company delivering across the wider Sydney and Illawarra area, with a long history in the Sutherland Shire, and a longer article on custom wardrobes in Sydney adds depth for search engines. I explain why this kind of clear structure matters for small businesses in Google AI Mode and AI Overviews.

Site management for Designer Image Robes

As site manager I keep the site in the same order as a well-planned wardrobe. WordPress core and plugins are updated on a schedule, backups run regularly, security is hardened and uptime is monitored 24/7. The site holds a 99.9% uptime record, zero security incidents and every page loading clean.

When new installs are added to the galleries, I make sure images stay optimised and layouts hold together on mobile, and the quote form is tested so enquiries keep arriving. Related home improvement work can be seen in my Evex Group case study.
