CJ Digital is a Melbourne web design and digital marketing studio based in Hawthorn, building and managing websites, Google Business Profiles and online visibility for local businesses. The CJ Digital WordPress website is the agency's own front door, so it had to walk the talk.

An agency that sells better websites and better online visibility cannot afford a homepage that loads slowly, ranks poorly or ever goes down. Prospective clients judge the agency by its own site before they look at the portfolio.

The site also changes often. It runs seasonal announcements, partnership offers and campaign content for VACC members, publishes regular articles, and showcases work across several industries. Every one of those changes has to ship cleanly, without breaking layouts, slowing pages or opening security holes, while the site keeps generating enquiries for the whole team.

The Solution

The site is built on WordPress with the Breakdance builder, kept lightweight and quick. The mega menu organises a large offer into clear groups: About (Who We Are, Meet the Team, Partnerships, Industry Specialists), Web Services (design, development, support packages, hosting and ecommerce) and Digital Marketing (SEO, AI SEO, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, photography and review management), plus Portfolio and Contact.

Industry specialist pages speak directly to automotive, beauty and wellness, building and trades, retail, healthcare and fitness, community clubs, hospitality and professional services. A dedicated section supports VACC members with practical websites and local support, and campaign pages handle partner offers.

Strong on-page SEO targets Melbourne web design searches, and a Latest News section publishes local, industry-specific articles that feed both Google and AI search.

I handle the continuous updates, backups and security hardening, with MySQL database care behind the scenes. The site has stayed hack-free while serving as the front door for the whole agency.
