Torpedo Truck Repair is a heavy-duty semi truck and trailer repair shop in Fife, Washington, with a second shop in Chicago and 24/7 roadside service for owner operators and fleets. I built its WordPress and Elementor website around urgent quote requests, 13 service pages and local pages for both markets.

## The challenge

Torpedo Truck Repair is a heavy-duty truck and trailer repair shop established in 2017 in Fife, Washington, close to the I-5 and Highway 167 freight routes, with a second shop in Chicago. The business grew out of real trucking operations, and it now repairs Class 6 to 8 trucks, trailers, box trucks, fleet units and diesel pickups for owner operators, independent drivers and fleet managers.

Its customers rarely browse at leisure. A driver with a blown air line on the shoulder or a fleet manager with a truck in derate needs to know within seconds whether the shop can help, how fast it can respond and whether it works on their Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International or Western Star. Every hour a truck sits costs freight revenue.

The website had to work like a dispatch desk as much as a brochure. It needed to separate emergency calls from routine estimates, explain thirteen service lines clearly, prove the shop's reputation with real reviews and rank in two very different markets: the Seattle Tacoma corridor and the southwest Chicago suburbs.

## The solution

I built the site on WordPress with Elementor, starting with a header that keeps the 24/7 roadside line and a Call Now button visible on every screen. The navigation runs Home, About Us, Services, Gallery, Blog and Contact, and the Services menu lists all thirteen repair categories, from diesel engine repair and DPF work to HVAC, body repair and preventive maintenance.

The hero carries a two-step quote form that asks how soon service is needed before anything else: ASAP with the truck down, today, this week, an estimate only or ongoing fleet service. Contact details come second, and a visitor who is just browsing is pointed to the phone instead. Below it, a vehicle catalog, the 4.9 star rating from 146 Google reviews, a rotating wall of driver and fleet testimonials and a five-step process from first call to back on the road answer the main questions before anyone calls.

For local search I set up hub pages for Fife and Chicago with 21 city pages beneath them, Rank Math for titles and sitemaps, and AutoRepair schema listing the service catalog and cities served. A filterable shop gallery and a blog of 64 practical posts give the site fresh, relevant content to grow from.

## Torpedo Truck Repair: heavy-duty truck repair in Fife, WA and Chicago

Torpedo Truck Repair did not start as a traditional repair shop. It began inside trucking operations as a practical answer to downtime, unclear repair timelines and poor communication, and later opened to the public as a full-service shop. That history sets the tone of the site. The About page leads with the story, then backs it with plain numbers: 7+ years in the field, 15+ service categories and a 50 mile service radius from Fife.

The customers are owner operators, long haul and regional drivers, reefer and flatbed carriers, and fleet managers running anything from a handful of trucks to larger multi-unit operations. A Problems We Solve block pairs common industry frustrations, such as long waits for diagnostics or surprise repair costs, with how Torpedo handles each one, which speaks directly to drivers who have been let down by other shops.

## 13 truck and trailer repair services in Fife, organized by system

Every service has its own page and its own entry in the Services menu:

- Diesel engine repair, fuel system and cooling system service
- Transmission and clutch, brakes, suspension and steering
- Exhaust and DPF repair and electrical diagnostics
- HVAC and A/C, tires and wheels, and truck and trailer body repair
- Preventive maintenance and 24/7 emergency road service

The services overview gives each line a one-sentence summary, such as air brakes, drums, shoes and ABS diagnostics for brake repair, so a driver can confirm the fit at a glance. Individual pages go deeper. The emergency road service page covers roadside derate diagnosis, brake chamber and air line repair, DEF and fuel delivery and DOT safety checks before a truck is cleared to move. A brand slider covers Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International and Western Star models.

## Quote requests, reviews and fleet programs at Torpedo Truck Repair

The conversion path is built around urgency. The two-step quote form takes under 60 seconds, routes requests by how soon the truck needs attention and is protected by reCAPTCHA. Phone lines for both shops sit in the header, the hero and a 24/7 roadside banner near the footer, so a stranded driver never has to hunt for them.

Trust is handled with specifics. The 4.9 star rating from 146 Google reviews appears in the hero, and the review wall quotes customers by role, such as flatbed operator, fleet manager or safety director, describing real repairs. The site states that the shop is licensed, insured and DOT certified, has an alignment machine on site and gives an itemized estimate before any work begins. For fleets, a dedicated section outlines custom PM programs, priority scheduling, DOT compliance support and fleet account billing.

## Local SEO for truck repair in Tacoma, the I-5 corridor and Chicago

Torpedo competes in two metro markets, so I gave each its own hub. The Fife hub links to city pages for Federal Way, Kent, Olympia, Pierce County, Puyallup, Renton, Seattle, South Hill, Tacoma, Tukwila and Tumwater. The Chicago hub covers Alsip, Berwyn, Burbank, Cicero, Elmhurst, Forest Park, Lockport, Melrose Park, Midlothian and Mokena.

The pages are written around the roads drivers actually use. The Fife page names Pacific Highway E, 54th Avenue E and Port of Tacoma Road, and the Tacoma page gives the distance from the shop to the Port of Tacoma. Rank Math manages titles, meta descriptions and the XML sitemaps, while AutoRepair schema with an aggregate rating, an offer catalog of services and the cities served gives search engines structured detail to work with. Google Site Kit connects the site to Google's measurement tools.

## Keeping the Torpedo Truck Repair website fast and current

A page full of reviews, sliders and service detail still has to load quickly on a phone at the side of the road. Pages are served from a static cache on LiteSpeed hosting, images are lazy-loaded and the embedded maps for both shops load only when needed, so the first screen with the phone number and quote form appears fast.

The blog keeps the site growing with practical articles for drivers, such as diesel engine blow-by, winter anti-gel additives, priming a diesel after running out of fuel and the air brake pre-trip inspection. The gallery is sorted into brakes, engine, suspension, fleet, emissions and roadside work, so new shop photos drop into the right filter. Shared Elementor layouts for services and locations make updates quick without rebuilding pages.
