## The challenge

Taylormade Memorabilia sells official, authentic signed sports and entertainment memorabilia across Australia, from AFL guernseys and NBA jerseys to UFC gloves, music pieces and canvas wall art. Its customers are collectors who care deeply about authenticity and presentation, and the Taylor Made Memorabilia WooCommerce store had to earn their trust as well as their orders.

The catalogue is enormous and constantly changing, spanning dozens of sports, hundreds of players and new collections every season. The store had to organise it for browsing, support accounts for repeat collectors, make authenticity easy to verify and handle demand spikes when a team wins something big, such as a premiership or a Brownlow, and fans rush to buy signed pieces in the same few days.

## The solution

I built the store on WordPress with Breakdance and WooCommerce around a collection-based structure. A large mega menu organises products by format, including canvas prints, wall art, sportsprints, photo collages and display cases, and by sport, from AFL and NRL to basketball, UFC, Formula 1, cricket and music, with deep sub-collections for teams, players, premierships and Brownlow medals.

Account and checkout flows are kept frictionless: Login and Create Account links sit at the top of the page, and the store supports click and collect, worldwide shipping and buy now, pay later options. Authenticity is supported with a Verify Certificate page and certification noted in product titles, and a Trending slot in the menu highlights the collections that matter this week.

I maintain the store year-round: patched, backed up and hardened, with uptime as authentic as the signatures.

## Taylormade Memorabilia: authentic signed memorabilia, Australia-wide

Taylormade Memorabilia is based in Hallam, Victoria, and sells official signed memorabilia to collectors across Australia and overseas. Its range covers sport and entertainment, from signed and framed guernseys, jerseys, boots and gloves to photographs, POP! Vinyls and drum heads. It also offers custom framing, events and fundraising support.

The audience is passionate and discerning. A collector buying a signed Michael Jordan jersey or a premiership team guernsey is making a significant purchase and wants to be certain it is genuine. The site's tone and structure reflect that: products are presented with care, prices are clear, and supporting pages for Authenticity, Framing, Events, Fundraising and Stores sit in the main navigation, so buyers can learn about the business before committing to a high-value purchase.

## Collection architecture for a catalogue spanning AFL to UFC

The biggest structural challenge was scale. The mega menu groups the catalogue so collectors can drill down quickly:

- By format: canvas prints, wall art, the Mini Wings collection, sportsprints, $150 large and $79 small photo collages and display cases
- By sport: AFL, basketball, soccer, Formula 1, motorsports, NRL, rugby union, NFL, cricket, MotoGP, tennis, boxing, UFC, WWE, golf, horse racing and more
- By event and team: AFL premierships, Brownlow medals, squad guernseys and every AFL club
- By person: shop by player, boxer, fighter or celebrity

Deep sub-collections, such as a single Brownlow year or a specific team's premiership, give fans an exact landing page for what they want. They also create a strong set of indexable category pages for searches like signed AFL guernseys or Brownlow memorabilia.

## Authenticity, accounts and checkout for repeat collectors

Trust is everything in memorabilia, so authenticity is built into the store. A Verify Certificate link in the footer lets buyers check their certificate, an Authenticity page explains the process, and many product titles name the authentication provider, such as Beckett or UDA. Higher-value items include a Make Offer option, which suits how collectors negotiate on premium pieces.

Repeat collectors are a core audience, so Login and Create Account sit at the very top of every page. Checkout is kept frictionless, with click and collect, worldwide shipping and buy now, pay later options through Afterpay, Zip, Humm and PayPal Pay in 4 promoted in the header. A newsletter signup offering a $10 voucher brings collectors back for the next release, and the help menu covers FAQs, returns and contact.

## Built for premiership-week traffic spikes

Memorabilia demand is driven by results. When a team wins a premiership or a player takes out the Brownlow, fans want signed pieces immediately, and traffic can spike sharply in a matter of hours. The store is built with that in mind. A Trending slot at the top of the mega menu highlights the collections of the moment, such as a new premiership or World Cup champions, and homepage banners spotlight the biggest stories, such as the latest Brownlow winner.

Behind the scenes, I keep the store lean enough to stay fast when it matters. Product imagery is handled carefully, the catalogue structure stays tidy as new collections are added each season, and monitoring alerts me to issues before customers notice. The goal is simple: when fans arrive in a rush, the site is ready for them.

## SEO and year-round maintenance for the Taylor Made Memorabilia WooCommerce store

I maintain the store all year with WordPress, WooCommerce, Breakdance and plugin updates applied and tested, security hardening, regular backups and 24/7 monitoring. That has delivered a 99.9% uptime record, zero security incidents and every page loading clean. Collection pages are kept well structured for search, so seasonal collections can rank while they matter.
