## The challenge

Lustec designs and builds heavy haulage trailers in Australia, from side tippers to quad and tri axle low loaders and dollies, purpose-built for mining, civil and agricultural work. The Lustec WordPress website is the digital catalogue for serious transport buyers.

Buyers of low loaders compare specifications, not slogans. Fleet operators and contractors want to know axle configuration, deck widening, suspension options and load capacity before they make contact, and they need to compare models side by side.

The range is broad and the model names are numbers: ST1 and ST2, 026, 045, 515, 555, 557, 404 and 408, plus custom builds. Without a clear structure, a visitor could easily get lost. The site needed a model-by-model catalogue that lets operators drill into exactly the trailer configuration they need, while also telling the story of an Australian manufacturer with generations of expertise.

## The solution

I built the site on WordPress with Breakdance around a structured model catalogue. The Our Trailers menu groups models by type and axle configuration: Side Tipper (Model ST1 and ST2), Quad Axle Low Loaders (Model 026 and 045), Tri Axle Low Loaders (Model 515, 555 and 557), Dollys (Model 404 and 408) and Custom Models.

Each model has a dedicated spec page. The homepage previews the featured range with short descriptions and key features, such as rear steer axles, deck widening functions, hydraulic suspension, airbag or leaf suspension and axle lift options, each linking to Learn More and Enquire Now.

Brand content supports the catalogue. Australian Designed, Australian Made and 100% Pure Lusty headline the homepage, a Build Process page walks buyers from concept to completion, and Our Story introduces the people behind the trailers. Phone and email stay one tap away.

I keep the catalogue maintained, fast and secure, heavy duty in every respect.

## Heavy haulage trailers for mining, civil and agricultural buyers

Lustec is Australian-owned and operated, led by founder Chris Lusty with general manager Ben Keeley. The company keeps production small and standards high, building trailers designed to cope with Australia's toughest transport demands.

Its buyers are transport companies, civil contractors, mining operators and agricultural businesses. Many are owner-operators or fleet managers who know their equipment intimately and expect a supplier to speak their language.

They visit the website to shortlist models, check configurations and decide whether to call. The site therefore needed to be precise and well organised, with technical detail presented clearly and the brand's craftsmanship shown through real trailers rather than marketing language.

## Model catalogue on the Lustec WordPress website

The catalogue is organised the way buyers think about trailers: by type and axle configuration.

- **Side tippers:** Model ST1 and ST2 steel tippers with options for suspension, doors and tarps.
- **Quad axle low loaders:** Model 026 deck widener with rear steer and Model 045 mini quad.
- **Tri axle low loaders:** Model 515 narrow spread and 557 wide spread drop deck wideners, and the 555 in widening and non-widening versions.
- **Dollies:** Model 404 and 408, including the 404 designed to pair with the 026.
- **Custom models:** built to a buyer's requirements.

Every model page follows the same layout, so buyers can compare features and configurations across the range without relearning the page each time.

## Spec pages, build process and enquiry paths for trailer buyers

Model pages lead with what operators compare: configuration, suspension, steering, deck widening and construction details such as high tensile steel, followed by optional extras. Clear headings and short feature lists make the information easy to scan on a tablet in a yard or a desktop in an office.

The Build Process page explains how Lustec works with customers from concept to road-ready trailer, which reassures buyers considering a custom build.

Every model page ends with an Enquire Now button and the phone number, and the contact page captures detailed enquiries. Links to Lustec's social channels and YouTube let buyers see trailers in action before they call.

## Search visibility and speed for an image-heavy trailer catalogue

Trailer buyers often search by model type, such as quad axle low loader or deck widener trailer, so each model page targets its own phrase with descriptive titles and headings. Consistent internal links between related models help search engines understand the range.

Large product photos are essential for heavy equipment, so image optimisation was a priority. Compressed, correctly sized images and lean Breakdance layouts keep model pages loading quickly, even with plenty of photography.

Clean, structured specification content also makes the catalogue easier for AI assistants to interpret, which I cover in my guide to making a site [agent-ready with structured data](https://amvprosox.com/blog/agent-ready-website-structured-data-llms-txt-mcp).

## Keeping a heavy-duty catalogue maintained and secure

As the range grows, the catalogue has to stay accurate and reliable. I maintain the Lustec site with WordPress, Breakdance and plugin updates, 24/7 uptime monitoring, security hardening and scheduled backups.

The results row reflects that work: a 99.9% uptime record, zero security incidents and every page loading clean. New models and options can be added using the same page template, keeping the catalogue consistent.
