Brisbane kitchen renovations, design, and cabinetry. Their WordPress and Breakdance site walks homeowners from inspiration to project gallery to quote, and I keep every page as polished as their benchtops.

## The challenge

Action Kitchens has been designing, manufacturing and installing custom kitchens on Brisbane's Southside since 1985, working from a showroom in Capalaba. The Action Kitchens WordPress website had to carry that reputation online, because renovation clients arrive with Pinterest boards, big expectations and a shortlist that usually includes franchise brands with far bigger marketing budgets.

The site needed distinct pages for kitchen design, full renovations and custom cabinetry, a projects gallery strong enough to sell the craftsmanship, and Brisbane-focused SEO that reaches homeowners in Capalaba, Carindale, Wynnum, Cleveland and the Redlands. It also had to answer the questions every renovator asks before picking up the phone: what will it cost, how long will it take, and is this builder properly licensed?

Most of that research happens on a phone, on the couch, late at night. A slow page or a broken enquiry form would send a ready buyer straight back to the competition.

## The solution

The site is built on WordPress with the Breakdance builder and structured service by service. Kitchen Design, Kitchen Renovations and Kitchen Cabinetry each have their own page and their own search intent, and a Projects section sits at the heart of the site so the finished work does the selling. Laundry renovations are covered too, using the same cabinetry and finishes as the kitchens.

The homepage walks a visitor through the whole journey: what Action Kitchens does, a six-step process from the first phone call to the start of the project, an invitation to visit the Capalaba showroom, recent projects, Google reviews and an FAQ on cost, timing and licensing. Calls to action such as Book a Free Consultation and Start Your Kitchen Project appear at natural decision points rather than everywhere at once.

I look after the site full time. Core and plugin updates, backups, security hardening and mobile performance checks are all handled by me, which is how it holds a 99.9% uptime record with zero security incidents.

## About Action Kitchens, Brisbane Southside kitchen specialists since 1985

Action Kitchens is a team of designers, cabinet makers and installers who handle a kitchen from the first sketch to the final benchtop. They are QBCC licensed, they run a showroom at Veronica Street in Capalaba, and their first showroom consultation is free, with a design fee applying only once detailed design begins.

Their customers are Southside homeowners who want one accountable team instead of juggling a designer, a joiner and a handful of trades. Many are comparing Action Kitchens against national franchise networks, so the website has to make the local, made-to-measure difference obvious within a few seconds.

That shaped every page. The copy leads with longevity, licensing and the showroom experience, and the site keeps pointing people toward a real conversation with the team rather than a generic online quote.

## Service pages for kitchen design, renovations and cabinetry

The main navigation is deliberately short: About, Kitchen Design, Kitchen Renovations, Kitchen Cabinetry, Projects and Contact. Each service page explains exactly what that stage of the job involves, in the order a homeowner thinks about it.

- Kitchen Design shows how layouts are planned and presented in 3D before any cutting begins.
- Kitchen Renovations covers the full project, from demolition to installation, with Action Kitchens coordinating the trades.
- Kitchen Cabinetry focuses on made-to-measure joinery, summed up in their own line: custom, never flat-pack.

Separating the services this way gives each page a clear purpose for visitors and a clear topic for Google. Someone searching for custom kitchen cabinetry in Brisbane lands on the cabinetry page, not a catch-all homepage, and every page ends with a route into the enquiry form.

## A projects gallery and enquiry form built to convert renovators

Kitchens are bought with the eyes, so the design gives the photography room to breathe. The recent projects gallery and bespoke cabinetry work sit alongside Instagram project videos, and Google reviews from past clients appear right where a visitor is deciding whether to trust the team.

The enquiry form is built for real renovation leads. It asks for the service type, location, preferred start timing and a project description, and it accepts file uploads of up to 20 MB so homeowners can send plans or inspiration photos straight away. For people who are not ready to talk yet, a downloadable design booklet offers a softer first step.

On mobile, the phone number is clickable and the Call Up Today button stays easy to reach, because a lot of kitchen dreaming happens on a phone.

## Local SEO for Brisbane kitchen renovation searches

The Action Kitchens WordPress website competes in one of the busiest home improvement niches in Brisbane, so local relevance had to be built into the structure rather than bolted on. The homepage names the suburbs the team actually services, including Coorparoo, Carindale, Mansfield, Holland Park, Wynnum, Cleveland, Mount Gravatt and Camp Hill, and invites people from nearby suburbs to ask.

The FAQ answers the questions people type into Google, such as how much a new kitchen costs, how long a renovation takes and whether the company is licensed. Those plain answers also help the site appear in AI-generated search results, something I cover in my guide to [Google AI Mode for small businesses](https://amvprosox.com/blog/google-ai-mode-seo-small-business-2026).

Images are served in modern WebP format and the Breakdance output is kept lean, so pages load quickly on mobile data.

## Ongoing WordPress maintenance and security for Action Kitchens

Since the site went live I have looked after it as a full-time responsibility. That means core, theme and plugin updates tested before they hit the live site, regular off-site backups, security hardening and round-the-clock uptime monitoring. Every page is checked to load cleanly on desktop and mobile, which is where the 100% pages loading clean result comes from.

Plugin vulnerabilities are the most common way small business sites get compromised, and I explain how I stay ahead of them in my post on [WordPress security in 2026](https://amvprosox.com/blog/wordpress-security-plugin-vulnerabilities-2026). For Action Kitchens, the result is a site that has never been the reason a lead was lost.
